Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Manager for our Finance & Accounting department to lead and manage our financial and accounting activities. This pivotal full-time role involves refining and implementing strategic policies and systems to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations. Reporting to the Director of Financial Operations, the ideal candidate will bring extensive technical accounting knowledge, analytical prowess, superior problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. This position is crucial in driving our organization's growth and requires a detail-oriented individual who can offer sound financial guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and eventually spearhead the end-to-end monthly financial reporting cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all activities, reconciliations, and analyses.

Critically review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring thorough flux analysis.

Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports, supporting the monthly and annual financial disclosure process.

Investigate, document, and present technical accounting issues, preparing detailed accounting memos as needed.

Lead the adoption of new financial standards and practices.

Regularly evaluate and refine accounting processes to boost efficiency and accuracy. Adopt industry best practices to optimize financial workflows.

Play a key role in developing and upholding internal financial controls and policies.

Act as the primary contact for external audit engagements, overseeing the annual audit process.

Become a trusted financial advisor within the organization, providing valuable insights and support to business units.

Lead and contribute to various projects, including system enhancements, process optimizations, and analytical initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

 

 

Job Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

At least 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably with a mix of public (ideally from top-tier accounting firms) and private sector exposure.

Minimum of 2 years in a managerial role with a proven record of developing effective teams.

CPA certification is mandatory.

Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting, and internal control mechanisms.

Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a collaborative approach to driving organizational change.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.

Experience working with large datasets and conducting comprehensive data analysis.
